Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Cape Town – Mossel Bay - Wilderness
We depart Cape Town early, and make our way to the Garden Route. We enter the Garden Route at Mossel Bay, known as the landing site of the first European mariners to round the southern tip of Africa. There we can spend some time on the spectacular beaches, or hike the Cape St. Blaize trail along the cliffs overlooking the Indian Ocean. Alternatively, we can go straight through to Wilderness, to check into our seaside accommodation for the evening.

Day 2 - Wilderness - Knysna
Today we explore the heart of the Garden Route, Knysna. This stretch of coast is known for its lovely scenery, including indigenous forest, a large warm-water estuary, and the Outeniqua Mountains.

Day 3 - Knysna - Tsitsikamma - Plettenberg Bay
After breakfast, off to Tsitsikamma National Park. The day will be spent in the park, with its unique combination of indigenous forest and beautiful Indian Ocean coastline. The park has a wide choice of activities for all, including hiking, crossing a suspension bridge and swimming. In the afternoon we travel back via the beautiful town of Plettenberg Bay.

Day 4 - Knysna – Oudtshoorn - Cape Town (via Route 62)
On our final touring day, we make our way back to Cape Town via the scenic route 62. We travel over the Outeniqua Mountain Pass, and into the Klein Karoo at Oudtshoorn, known as the Ostrich capital of the world. Enjoy the small-town charm of the Klein Karoo, before finishing the tour in Cape Town in the early evening.
(Alternatively, enjoy a morning at leisure in Knysna, before returning to Cape Town. This is about a 50 km (1 hour) shorter journey.)

- This is a private tour for your group. It includes the passengers you have booked, plus a guide/driver. We have included the guide and driver’s meals and accommodation in our quote as necessary.
- The company reserves the right to change itinerary, accommodation, and transport along the way should circumstances dictate.
- Your guide will be available to do the activities mentioned in this itinerary, which is generally 8-10 hours for a full day. If you would like additional help planning evening activities and dinner, please speak to your guide – he or she can assist you with making arrangements for evening taxis or dinner reservations.
- All vehicles have valid operating licences to convey paying customers.
- Please advise in advance if you require a car seat for children booked on the tour. Car seats are available at an additional charge. Maximum 2 children per adult at standard rate; please enquire for groups with more children. Infants under age 2 free of charge.
- All guides are well trained, experienced, and African born. By law we are required to use CATHSSETA registered and qualified guides with professional drivers’ licenses.

In case of a refund, any amount will be refunded in South African Rand, which then gets converted to your local currency by your bank or credit card company. Please note that due to currency fluctuations, the refund amount in your local currency might be higher or lower than the amount originally paid. In the case where a tour is paid for in a foreign currency, such as Euros or US Dollars, you will be informed of the amount received in Rand, and any refunds will be calculated based on the Rand amount received.
- Tour price is dependent on group size and vehicle size. Should the group size fluctuate from the original quote, your Earthstompers consultant will provide you with a revised quote.

- Earthstompers makes use of hundreds of different hotels, guest houses, and safari lodges in our tour packages. Each of these has their own cancellation policies, which will prevail in the event of a cancellation. Please ask your tour consultant for specific terms.
- In the event of a cancellation, a 10% cancellation fee on the overall package price will be retained by Earthstompers, to cover credit card and administrative charges.
